OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY, GOVERNOR USMAN ODODO, EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE
Your Excellency, Compliment of the season.
Sir, I want to sincerely use this medium to congratulate you on your impactful policies and programs ever since you came on board as the Executive Governor of Kogi State almost a year ago.
Your Excellency sir, it has become necessary to draw your attention to the ugly scenario of the deliberate efforts of some top government officials in your administration to deny about 50 people who are duly nominated from their various wards across the 21 local government areas of the state as Ward Special Assistant, (WSA) surprisingly almost five months after the appointments has been concluded from their various wards, they have not be captured for payment.
Your Excellency sir, it will interest you to know that after the release of the comprehensive list of the Ward Special Assistant (WSA), it was discovered that some names who are not party members or worked against the party at the polls in the 2023 General and Governorship Elections fraudulently find their names on the list without being ratified at their ward level, this led to a serious protest from across the wards and corrections were made.
Again, some of the names on the list are now elected as Ward councilors while some got appointed to a higher office, and replacements were made but surprisingly, the only information available from the office of the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State since then is that they have not gotten the approval of His Excellency for the replacement to be effected leaving the people and wards to be seen as lesser members of the party, a situation that is not pleasant to hard-working members of the party.
Your Excellency sir, as a performing and listening leader, kindly help look into the serious issues of neglect for the people to be captured and their salary arrears, including this month’s own, paid with immediate effect as that will make them celebrate along with other Kogites your one eventful year in office.
Thank you sir for your attention
