Opposition Party Suffers Another Setback in Kabba/Bunu, as Jerry Omodara Harvests More Decampees into APC

The People’s Democratic Party in Bunu District of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, has suffers another setback as hundreds of her supporters dump the umbrella and embrace broom in Kabba/Bunu, on Sunday, 13th October, 2024.

The decampees led by Honorable Timothy Amupitan (A.K.A Jojo), who was a strong stakeholder in the People’s Democratic Party in Kabba/Bunu Local Government, alongside his teeming supporters declared their loyalty to the ruling APC, Commander Jerry Omodara, and Governor Ododo-led administration.

Jerry Omodara while receiving the new progressive was full of gratitude to God for the bountiful harvest which to him signaled the dead of PDP in the district. He noted with joy the worth of the new members in the Bunu political equation, and assured them that they would enjoy equal treatments with old members of the party in the scheme of things.

He stated further to appreciate Hon. Timothy Amupitan and his teeming supporters for their resilience, dedication and resolute to identify with the All Progressives Congress, he maintained that the ruling All Progressives Congress was a party to be and the new members were fully welcome to be part of the renewed Kogi which Governor Ododo’s government is building.

The Leader of the decampees, Hon. Timothy Amupitan, noted that his decision to join the ruling party is born out of his resolve for community development, and to identify with Governor Ododo’s leadership acumen and political trajectory, which reflects his firmness to always do the right thing.

He stressed that the rationale behind the exit from the PDP, noted that with the way Governor Ododo has been handling the affairs of the party, APC would continue to be the party to beat. He counted scores of figures that were in the PDP and who are now in the APC today as another great factor as he and other decampees felt the need to see what his former leaders in the PDP saw that made them shift camp to the APC.

Finally, he assured the leadership of the party that with the arrival of the new members, the party would coast to victory in the October 19 Council Election in the State.
