Orette to Address Press Conference on Good Governance, Policy Reforms in Lagos
LAGOS — September 26, 2026: A prominent Nigerian-American family medicine physician, entrepreneur and reform advocate, Dr. Austin Orette, is scheduled to address a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, on issues bordering on good governance, societal values and critical policy reforms in Nigeria.
According to a statement issued by MediaGate Nigeria on Friday, Dr. Orette will brief local and foreign journalists on a range of national issues, with particular attention to governance, democracy, civic engagement and reforms needed to strengthen Nigeria’s development.
The statement said Dr. Orette, who is an advocate of true fiscal federalism, constitutional reform and decentralisation of political power away from Abuja, would also address political, security and economic challenges affecting Delta South and the wider Niger Delta region.
