The BSU-Olu Obafemi Quiz Competition, Scholarship, and Prize Award Giving Program, officially unveiled on April 10, 2025, by the Chief Sponsor, H.E. Otunba Yinka Braimoh, at the Federal University Lokoja, is the brainchild of the 65th BSU National Executive Council. Named in honor of Professor Emeritus Olu Obafemi, the Asiwaju of Kiri Kingdom who served for decades as the National Grand Patron of the BSU, the initiative aims to celebrate the erudite professor of Bunu origin and encourage intellectual achievement among students of Bunu District.

The program encompasses scholarships, prizes, career talks, mentorship opportunities, and funding for PTA Science Teachers in secondary schools across Bunu land.

Otunba Yinka Braimoh’s generous contribution is a testament to his commitment to educational advancement and youth empowerment in Bunu District and beyond.

The BSU National President, Comrade Daniel Friday Aiyegboka, on behalf of the Union, expressed the Union’s appreciation to H.E. Otunba Yinka Braimoh for the hefty donation. In his words, he said, “We are grateful to God for sending Otunba Yinka to us. It is a great relief for us when he accepted without any persuasion to be the Chief Sponsor of the Program. We are glad that he has shouldered the hugest part of the program.

“We sincerely appreciate this hefty donation from him. A donation that will change the life of many Bunu Students for good. It is our sincere prayer that he prospers in good health and wealth,” he concluded.

The grand finale of the competition is scheduled for May 29, 2025, at Community High School, Oke-Offin Bunu.
