PAAU VICE-CHANCELLOR COMMISERATES WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF KOGI STATE AND FAMILY OF THE LATE FORMER KOGI GOVERNOR AND VISITOR TO THE INSTITUTION, ALHAJI IBRAHIM IDRIS
On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, I wish to commiserate with the Government and people of Kogi State, the family, friends and associates of the former Governor of Kogi State and Visitor to the institution, His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, over his demise.
The news of his passing came to us as a rude shock, and we are deeply saddened by the loss of a distinguished elder and statesman who devoted a significant part of his life to the service and development of Kogi State.
Alhaji Ibrahim Idris was, at a time, the Visitor to the then Kogi State University, Anyigba, now Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, between 2003 and 2011. His years in office remains an important chapter in the political and developmental history of the State.

He was a public servant who contributed his time, experience and leadership to the advancement of his people. His passing is, therefore, a loss not only to his immediate family but also to Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
While death is inevitable and we remain powerless before the will of Almighty Allah, we take solace in the life of service he lived and the enduring memories he leaves behind.
It is our earnest prayer that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and grant his family, friends, associates and the good people of Kogi State the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, Āmīn.
