Otunba Adeniyi Mourns Former Kogi Governor Ibrahim Idris
Otunba Olayemi Adeniyi, a prominent Kogi West stakeholder, has expressed deep sadness over the death of former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, who passed away in London on Sunday at the age of 77.
Adeniyi, in a condolence message, described the death of the former governor as a great loss to Kogi State, particularly to the people who had the privilege of working with and relating closely with him during his years of public service.
He said Alhaji Ibrahim Idris played a significant role in the political development of Kogi State and contributed immensely to the growth of the state during his tenure as governor.

According to him, the late former governor was a major political figure whose influence extended beyond his administration, noting that his death would be deeply felt across the three senatorial districts of the state.
The Kogi West stakeholder commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased, the government and people of Kogi State, as well as his political associates and friends, praying Allah to grant the departed soul eternal rest.
Adeniyi also prayed for the fortitude and strength for the family to bear the irreparable loss, describing the death of the former governor as the end of an important chapter in the political history of Kogi State.
He urged Kogi people to continue to remember the late Ibrahim Idris for his contributions to the development of the state and his years of service to humanity.
