PAAU’s Sliver Jubilee, 7th Combined Convocation: Prof. Marietu Tenuche’s Unwavering Commitment to Progress.

Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) is gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary and 7th combined convocation, thanks to the remarkable leadership of Prof. Marietu Tenuche, the university’s first female Vice-Chancellor 🤝.
Appointed in April 2020, Prof. Tenuche has made significant strides in academics, infrastructure, and extracurricular activities.
Under her guidance, PAAU has achieved a 100% success rate in NUC accreditation for 12 programmes and introduced new courses in Education and Health Sciences.
Some of her notable achievements include: Improved security with a comprehensive security fence. Construction of well-paved roads, equipped libraries, and conditioned lecture halls.
Rehabilitation of the school stadium to international standards.
Approval of ‘FYB Week’ for final-year students and enhanced sports facilities.
Her inclusive leadership style has earned praises from the university’s governing council and students, who commend her commitment to academic excellence and student development.
Prof. Tenuche’s leadership has transformed PAAU, with improved security, academic performance, and infrastructure. She has received numerous awards, including being named a Fellow of the Nigerian Political Science Association (NPSA) in 2024.
The Students’ Union Government (SUG) and the Igala Students Association have passed votes of confidence in Prof. Tenuche, praising her exceptional leadership and contributions to PAAU.
The Governing Council of PAAU has also lauded her developmental strides and balanced approach to personnel and infrastructure development, passing a vote of confidence in her leadership.
It is therefore without mincing words that, the students, Management and the host community of PAAU is looking forward to the combined convocation and celebration of it 25th Anniversary with nostalgia. A feat achieved by an amazing Amazon, Prof Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, the current Vice Chancellor.
