Philanthropist Donates N5m for Ebonyi Community Rural Electricity Project

The chairman, Esthinton group and Executive Director/CEO Valington Homes Ltd, Dr Darlington Ugota has donated the sum of N5 million to support the ongoing rural electricity project in Eguho-Ezzagu community, Ishielu Local Government area of Ebonyi state.
Briefing newsmen in Abakaliki, the National President of Ezzagu Zone General Assembly (EZGA), Chief Tobias Offia noted that Ugota’s donation has added significantly to the actualization of the project.
The National President also disclosed that the electricity project has gulped over N30 million generated from voluntary contributions and levies from members of Eguho community.
According to Offia: “It is with deep appreciation and gratitude that I brief newsmen on the efforts of Eguho community in Ishielu Local Government area of Ebonyi state in their electricity project to our community”.
“We must thank one of our brothers who is not even an indigene of Ishielu Local Government, Dr Darlington Ugota, for donating the whooping sum of N5 million to support the project. This philanthropic gesture is uncommon and has thrown widespread jubilation in our community”.
“Dr Ugota is great son of Ebonyi state that has shown great compassion for the growth, empowerment and development of our dear state. We are proud of him. The people of Eguho Ezzagu will always take lead to support Ugota in all his mission, visions and endeavors. We commend his deep sense of sportsmanship. The people of Eguho-Ezzagu are very grateful for our worthy son”.
“The Eguho electricity project has gulped over N30 million which was generated from individual contributions and levies. The High Tension was drawn from Agba and it was to be stepped down at Eguho -Ezzagu”.
“Eguho Ezzagu is a community that lacks all the basic amenities of life, ranging from bad roads, to infrastructures. The much we have done were through contributions and supports from people”.
Offia therefore called on attention other spirited individuals, political office holders and government to assist Eguho community in her drive to actualize the electricity project and other developmental projects in the area.
He added that the electricity project needed over N20 million to be completed.
