It was held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the residence of a prominent young political figure popularly known as Lawasko Yauri, whose home has increasingly become a hub for political dialogue and mobilization in the area.

The event served as more than just a routine gathering; it was a platform for reflection, strategy, and renewed commitment. Participants used the opportunity to assess the achievements of Senator Maidoki and map out plans for the upcoming electoral cycle.

In his opening remarks, Alhaji Idris Ibrahim Shalto emphasized the importance of unity, consultation, and patience in political engagement. He noted that sustainable success in politics depends largely on the strength of relationships between leaders and the people they serve.

Throughout the meeting, participants openly expressed admiration for Senator Maidoki’s performance in the Senate, particularly highlighting his contributions toward improving infrastructure, promoting social harmony, and advocating for the welfare of Kebbi South constituents.

Speakers at the event unanimously reaffirmed their support for the Senator’s re-election bid, stressing that continuity would allow him to build on the progress already recorded. According to them, his leadership has brought visible development and fostered peaceful coexistence among diverse communities in the district.
“His impact is clear, and his leadership is people-centered.

Supporting him for a second term is not just a political decision, but a necessity for sustained development,” one of the representatives stated.

Deliberations during the meeting produced a number of actionable resolutions, including: Intensifying grassroots mobilization and voter education, Strengthening communication channels between leaders and constituents, Promoting tolerance and unity among political actors.

In community engagement
Participants emphasized that their presence at the meeting was not personal, but a reflection of the collective will of the people they represent. They assured the Coordinator that their communities are firmly aligned with the vision and leadership of Senator Maidoki.

The gathering also provided an opportunity to commend Alhaji Idris Ibrahim Shalto for his dedication and effective coordination. Attendees praised his ability to bring together diverse political interests under a common purpose, describing his efforts as instrumental to the growing support base of the Senator.

They further noted that Senator Maidoki continues to enjoy widespread acceptance due to his performance at the National Assembly, adding that “excellence deserves recognition, and his record speaks for itself.”

In his closing address, Alhaji Idris Ibrahim Shalto expressed deep appreciation to all attendees, as well as to Malam Babbangida Musa Stone Buge Yauri for his support in hosting the event.

He assured participants that all messages and resolutions from the meeting would be duly communicated to Senator Maidoki. He further expressed optimism about the future, stating:
“By the grace of God, the unity and commitment demonstrated here today will translate into overwhelming support at the polls. The strength of the Senator’s supporters will be evident through their votes in the forthcoming election.”

As political activities gradually intensify ahead of the next general elections, this unity meeting stands as a clear signal of organized grassroots mobilization and strategic planning within Kebbi South. Observers note that such engagements are critical in shaping electoral outcomes, particularly in regions where community influence plays a decisive role.

With growing support and a coordinated political structure, Senator Garba Musa Maidoki appears poised to make a strong case for a second term—anchored on performance, unity, and continued development.
