Prince Erukutu Condemns Political Violence in Kabba
By Sunday Ajayi – Lokoja
A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Prince Erukutu Ibinaiye has condemned in its entirety the political violence that erupted yesterday in Kabba during a political program which was attended by the PDP Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Dino Melaye.
He disclosed this via a telephone chat with one of our reporters in Lokoja.
According to him, it is barbaric and uncalled for anyone to embark on a voyage of violence using politics as a cover up, stressing that politics is a game of interest hence parents should call their wards to order and everyone should feel free to align with any political party of his or her choice instead of instigating violence within the community.
Erukutu said Kabba community is known for its peaceful nature, hence no one should input violence into the community, urging the youths not to allow themselves to be used for such undemocratic behavior that is capable of causing crisis within the community.
He noted that Senator Dino Melaye possesses the cognate experience and exposure to rescue the state from the maladministration of the current government hence his popularity across the state is enough to earn him victory come November 11 Governorship Election in the state.
He appealed to all stakeholders to continue to play by the rules of the game as the election draws near, pointing out that there is no gainsaying that PDP and it’s candidate remain the preferred party/individual for the majority of the electorate in the state.
