PRINCESS ADEJOKE ORELOPE-ADEFULIRE, SSA TO THE PRESIDENT ON SDGs, TO RECEIVE EXEMPLARY PUBLIC SERVICE LEADERSHIP AWARD 2026

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, is set to receive the Exemplary Public Service Leadership Award 2026 from DEMOCRACY NEWSLINE Newspaper for her outstanding contributions to policy coordination, poverty reduction, and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Nigeria.
The award will be presented to her at the newspaper’s 16th Public Lecture and Induction into the Good Governance Hall of Fame scheduled for Tuesday, 19th August, 2026 at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja at 5:00pm.

The event is being organized to commemorate 27 Years of Uninterrupted Democracy in Nigeria with the theme: “Economic Reforms and Sustainable Development in a Democracy: The Nigerian Experience.”
Announcing the honour, the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi, described Princess Orelope-Adefulire as a trailblazer in public service whose dedication has accelerated Nigeria’s progress toward achieving the SDGs.
“Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has demonstrated exemplary leadership in coordinating national efforts on the Sustainable Development Goals. Through strategic partnerships, grassroots interventions, and accountability frameworks, she has ensured that no Nigerian is left behind in the development agenda,” Chief Femi stated.
Under her stewardship, the Office of the SSA to the President on SDGs has driven key programmes including the Integrated National Financing Framework, SDG Acceleration Funds, and targeted interventions in education, health, water, sanitation, and women empowerment across the 36 states and FCT.
The ceremony will also feature a keynote lecture on _“Economic Reforms and Sustainable Development in a Democracy”_ and the induction of other distinguished Nigerians into the _Good Governance Hall of Fame_ for their contributions to democracy, leadership, and national development.
Government officials, diplomats, development partners, and civil society leaders are expected to attend the event.
