Rainstorm Destroys Houses in Kabba Metropolis,
Rainstorm, yesterday in Kabba metropolis, Kogi State, has left a trail of destruction, with over 50 houses damaged and many residents rendered homeless.
The storm, which lasted about 45 minutes, was characterized by heavy downpour and strong winds that blew off roofs and damaged properties
The affected areas include Ben Thomas Hotel, Iyah community, and Kajola quarter, with the house of the late Obadofin Patrick Owoleke being one of the damaged properties.
The victims are calling on the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to intervene and provide relief materials such as temporary shelters, food supplies, and other essential items.
This devastating incident highlights the need for urgent assistance to support the affected families, including women and children who are currently without shelter. Comrade Rotimi Oke from Kabba/Bunu, Kogi State, has appealed to government agencies, well-meaning individuals, and non-governmental organizations to provide support to the victims.
