RAMADAN: DEPUTY SPEAKER, KSHA, RT HON. COMFORT NWUCHIOLA EGWABA FELICITATES WITH THE MUSLIM FAITHFULS
The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ibaji state constituency had in the early hours of today joined the Muslim ummahs to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, the ninth Lunar month, which is characterized with fasting, prayers, abstinence and alms giving as observed by every healthy and adult Muslim faithful.
The lawmaker in a statement issued to the newsmen via her media team on Monday 11th March 2024 in Lokoja the Kogi state capital, thanked and rejoiced with the Muslim faithfuls in the state. She specifically wished His Excellency Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo the kogi state executive Governor, former Governor of Kogi state, His Excellency Alh. Yahaha Adoza Bello, kogi state first Lady, Hajiya Sefinat Usman Ahmed Ododo among other top government functionaries and Muslim communities on the dawn of the holy month.
The legislator in her felicitation message, urged the Muslim faithfuls to make the best use of this special month of Ramadan to earn multiple rewards by extending good wishes, love, kindness, peace, alms giving to the poor and the downtrodden. She equally urged them to increase support as exemplified by holy Prophet Mohammed. She encouraged the Muslims in the state to observe all the ethics of fasting, including more recitation of the Qur’an which was revealed in the same month.

The Deputy Speaker admonished the Muslim faithfuls to use this season to pray for our dear state and our various communities for guidance, peace, ease, divine protections, lawful provisions, and improved security of lives and properties.
She however beseeched the almighty Allah to accept the fast and grant every believers the rewards that come with the observance of Ramadan, she added.
