Ramadan: Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu urges Muslim ummah to reflect on the season, pray for Peace and Prosperity in Nigeria

The Honourable Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, has felicitated the Muslim ummah on the commencement of this year’s Ramadan, urging them to reflect on the season and pray for the peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria.

Prince Audu, in a message made available by his Special Assistant on Media, Lizzy Okoji on Saturday, March 01, 2025, in Abuja also enjoined Muslims to use the period of Ramadan to strengthen their faith and relationship with God, engage in acts of ibadah, show compassion, and extend generosity to the less privileged.

“As the holy month of Ramadan dawns upon us, I extend my heartfelt greetings to Muslim ummahs and all Nigerians. This sacred time is a moment for reflection, spiritual growth, and a time to extend love to our fellow compatriots.

“Ramadan encourages us to embrace kindness, charity, and the spirit of togetherness. Let us take this time to reaffirm our commitment to uplifting those in need, fostering compassion, and building bridges of understanding and unity within our families and communities.

“The holy month also allows us to renew our faith in Almighty Allah and seek forgiveness while increasing our prayers. So, remain steadfast in your spiritual discipline as you draw nearer to Almighty Allah.

“Let us in this holy season pray for hope, peace, and progress for our beloved country Nigeria, and our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, who has continued to demonstrate great commitment to making Nigeria a great nation. Ahead of the fasting period, prices of food have dropped in the country, and we can only continue to pray for more of Almighty Allah’s wisdom for our president and those in positions of authority.

“Islam is a religion of peace and understanding. So I urge you all to use this period to demonstrate that foundation and drive for unity within our communities, irrespective of our beliefs.

“May this Ramadan be a time of renewal, forgiveness and reflection for each of us, and may we be granted the strength to emerge from it with a renewed commitment to serve one another and our great nation.

“Ramadan Kareem, and may the Almighty Allah accept our fast as an act of Ibahah,” Prince Audu stated.
