The Member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Hon. Salman Idris has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Ibinaiye, the Obajemu of Oweland.

In a condolence message issued on Friday, Hon. Idris described the late monarch as a symbol of unity, wisdom and cultural pride whose reign strengthened peace and development across Owe Kingdom.

He extended his heartfelt sympathies to the Obaro of Kabba, the Executive Chairman of Kabba-Bunu Local Government, the royal family, the traditional council and the entire Owe Kingdom over the irreparable loss.

According to the lawmaker, Oba Ibinaiye’s dedication to community advancement and the preservation of Owe heritage will remain a lasting legacy for generations to come. He noted that the monarch’s counsel and fatherly guidance would be greatly missed, not only by his subjects but also by leaders across Kogi State.

Hon. Idris prayed for the peaceful repose of the monarch’s soul and urged the people of Oweland to remain united during this difficult period of mourning.
