Reps Member Distributes Over 3,000 Bags of Fertilizers to Farmers

By Azi Peter – Jos

Farmers in Jos South and Jos East Federal Constituency beamed with joy as they received bags of fertilizers courtesy of their representative, Hon. Alfred Iliya Ajang.

The distribution was attended by stalwarts and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) within the constituency.

Thousands of farmers benefited from the gesture, which they described as true representation.

Many beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, noting that the rising cost of fertilizers and farm inputs made the member’s benevolence a welcome relief.

They intend to use the fertilizers for both rainy and dry seasons farming, as the constituency is a major food producer in the Northern Zone.

In his speech, Hon. Ajang stated that he is committed to addressing the immediate needs of his constituents, emphasizing the importance of fertilizer in boosting food security.

He aligned his efforts with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda to reduce poverty and curb food insecurity in Nigeria.

Ajang urged the beneficiaries to use the fertilizers for their intended purpose and warned against diversion.

He assured them of more projects and effective legislation in the future.

The event featured goodwill messages from farmers’ leaders and APC leaders across Jos South and East Local Governments.

Cultural groups also presented traditional dances, adding to the festive atmosphere.
