Sauraniyar Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo; A Prophetess Honored at Home

The people of Kwaya Kusar in Borno State has appreciated the giving back spirit , adequate representation of one of their own , a female gender , rare in the history of the northern hemisphere and by and large the entire country, as they honored their own, Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo, the extraordinary and super commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development spanning over six year now .
The idea to honor her was not only borne out of her representation at the state executive council on, that attracted her reappointment, but global connections and interactions that brought succor to the women and men of the area under the able leadership of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state and the wife , Dr Falmata Babagana Zulum her ally and confidant .

As a known figure in Borno state and across the country, been a product of a federal institution right from her tender age , dignataries from the state and all walks of life honored her through attending the all important event on Sunday February 1, 2026.
Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo, a prominent daughter of the area was also honored in attendance by the state Governor ably represented and the entire members of the state executive council, board chairmen and members as well as heads of Ministries, Department and Agencies along with some prominent individuals at the federal level .
The turbanining , as the Sauraniyar Kwaya Kusar attracted also the international communities that described her as “Queen Amina” of our time as well as “Gambo Sawaba” who had made invaluable contributions to the state , communities and the country at large .
The people of Kwaya Kusar with preference to her as a woman to a man from the area, lauded her community development and contributions to the development of the area, Borno State in it’s entirety .
With high value to her global connections, interactions and activities of global and development partners since her appointment as Commisioner , they all expressed joy to the Almighty God for chosen her as their leader , rare in the tradition and culture of the area .
The palace of the traditional ruler of Kwaya Kusar was filled to the brim for dignataries who came to honor one of their own, as against a sage , prophet or prophetes not honored at home .
While promising adequate support for the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development now and always, the traditional class prayed that her disposition was a clear sign of elevation to national level in the shortest possible time .
While highlighting her achievements in the last six years, they commended the state government and the wife of the Governor for giving her the opportunity to showcase her potentials in the political arena.
Gambo who has contributed in all spheres , from Education, Health , Empowerment, Social Development , Security of the area lauded her efforts even at the emergency period of palpable security situations, through her dedication crisscrossing the state and local government areas, describing her as worthy ambassador.
Highlights of the occasion included her turbanining by the traditional ruler and commissioning of an Islamic School donated by the Commissioner in Kwaya Kusar town .
She used the opportunity to thank Nigerians who trooped to the area inspite of the security situations to honor her in her time of the need, particularly Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, Governor Babagana Zulum and the wife, Hajiya Falmata Babagana Zulum among other dignataries who honored and sent delegates to the occasion.
