Sen. Karimi intervenes in Reconstruction of Pakuta Bridge through Direct Labour
The Senator, Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sen. Sunday Karimi has graciously offered to single- handedly take up the immediate reconstruction of the damaged Pakuta Bridge.

It would be recalled that the road linking Aiyegunle Gbede in Ijumu Local Government of Kogi State to Kiri kingdom in Kabba Bunu LGA, Kupa North, Kupa South and Eggan communities in Lokoja Local government with Niger State had over the years awarded to Setraco Nig Ltd.
But owing to lack of funding by the Federal Government, the contractors have since abandoned site, leading to the total collapse of the bridge and making the communities linked to the Pakuta bridge totally cut off and are suffering untold hardship.
Speaking to Newsmen, Prof. Olu Obafemi, a Community leader from Bunu, speaking as the Asiwaju of Kiri Kingdom, announced that the immediate reconstruction work on the collapsed bridge has commenced.
Prof Olu Obafemi expressed the appreciation of the Olukiri and people of the Community to Sen. Sunday Karimi for the show of love and patriotism displayed for the Community.
Prof. Olu Obafemi who doubles as the project implementation Committee Chairman, assured the Olukiri of proper monitoring, as well as the judicious and transparent utilization of the funds.
