The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has received a top aide of the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Sani Abdulkadir Dambo, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
The recent defection of Alhaji Sani Abdulkadir Dambo, a top aide to the Kano State Governor, from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), is a significant political shift.
Dambo’s defection, alongside other grassroots politicians like Alhaji Rabiu Alhassan Durum from Kabo LGA, strengthens the APC’s presence in Kano.
Dambo emphasized his return to the APC, pledging his loyalty and efforts to strengthen the party both in Kano and nationally.
The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin welcomed Dambo, the former two-time chairman of the Kano State Board of Internal Revenue and current Special Adviser on Investment, into the APC at his Abuja residence.
In response, Senator Barau praised their commitment and reaffirmed the APC’s dedication to addressing national challenges under the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This move represents a key political development in Kano as the APC consolidates support in the state.
