Senator Hope Uzodimma Wins Best Governor on Digital Economy and E-Government Award

The Executive Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has been named the winner of the Best Governor on Digital Economy and E-Government Award, 2025 by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
According to a press statement signed by the publisher and CEO, Chief Olugbemi Femi, Governor Uzodimma’s nomination was based on the recommendation of a team of experts who conducted an opinion poll, added that the governor was recognized for his outstanding efforts in promoting digital economy and e-government initiatives in Imo State.

He further said that the award will be presented during the 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony on August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja by 5pm, stressing that the ceremony will feature a Red Carpet Ceremony, main event, and dinner program, with the theme “The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.”
The occasion will also mark the launch of a ₦100 million fund for podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television, aimed at promoting democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
The award ceremony promises to be a significant event, bringing together leaders and stakeholders to discuss important issues and celebrate excellence.
