Senator Karimi Congratulates Nigerians on 65th Independence Anniversary
I felicitate with fellow Nigerians on our 65th independence anniversary, celebrating the freedom achieved by our founding fathers for a new, united, and strong nation. As a proud representative of Kogi West, I believe that the progress we’ve made so far is a testament to the resilience and determination of our people.
I believe that the present challenges are stepping stones for a desired destination of a greater Nigeria, being put in place by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The President is laying the foundation for better living conditions, a sense of belonging for all Nigerians, and making decisions that are already yielding positive results backed by facts and figures both locally and internationally.
So, irrespective of our religion, ethnicity, or political affiliation, we owe it a duty to always reflect on the sweat, tears, and blood of those who fought for the freedom we are enjoying today. As legislators, we will continue to do our part, namely, providing the required legislative framework for the Executive Arm of government to continue delivering the dividends of democracy to all Nigerians. I know that the future is ours and bright because the dark days are over, backed by the projections of experts.
God bless Nigeria!
Sen. Sunday Steve Karimi
