Senator Karimi is indeed a worthy representative who deserves commendation for his efforts in serving his constituents in a manner that has repositioned the entire district.
With his extensive experience in politics and legislation matters, having served as a member of the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019, he has demonstrated his commitment to serving his constituents
As the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, he has demonstrated his determination to address the needs of the Senatorial District.
One of his notable achievements is the construction and handover of a fully furnished and equipped military base to the Nigerian Army authorities, aimed at addressing the rising insecurity in Kogi West Senatorial District. Additionally, he facilitated the construction of 75 solar-powered boreholes and the rehabilitation of 60 moribund water schemes across communities in Kogi West, valued at N1.24 billion.
He also has a record of the rehabilitation of the Government Science Secondary School, Koton Karfe, in Kogi Local Government Area worth 1.2 billion naira, construction of 1000 seaters at the National Open University, Isanlu Center, Yagba East Local Government Area. The reconstruction of Pakuta bridge in Kiri land, Kabba-Bunu local government area, worth 17 million naira, a project that has since been completed.
He recently donated ₦11million to the Ijumu Anglican Diocese in support of the establishment of a Nursing school, ₦11million to the fish market in Lokoja, ₦10million to the community of those who recently lost their lives in a boat mishap in Kupa area of Kogi local government area, 5million Naira to the construction of Security Base initiated by Kabba-Bunu Chairman, Hon. Dare Michael, 5million Naira to Mopa community aside other numerous donations and support to individuals and groups.
On employment, he has facilitated the employment of many youths in different sectors, which is not limited to military, paramilitary agencies, and civil services at national and state levels; just a few days ago, 7 youths were employed as staff of the National Assembly Commission.
Senator Karimi has also sponsored several bills and moved motions in the Senate, including a bill seeking to bar the governor and deputy governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria from participating in politics, bills for the establishment and upgrading of the Ahmadu Bello University, Kabba campus to a full fledge Federal University of Agriculture, Kabba and Federal University of Medical Sciences, Egbe respectively.
His legislative interests and target achievements demonstrate his focus on making a positive impact in his constituency.
However, as a representative of the people, Senator Karimi’s initiative to distribute rice demonstrates his commitment to addressing the welfare and needs of his constituents. Such gestures can go a long way in alleviating hunger, poverty, and food insecurity, especially during difficult times.
It’s great to see elected officials like Karimi taking proactive steps to make a positive impact on the lives of those they serve.
