SENATOR KARIMI MOURNS PASSING OF IKE-BUNU MONARCH, HRH OLU OMOJAGBARA ALEDARERE

The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Karimi, has expressed deep sympathy with the Ike-Bunu community in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area over the passing of their monarch, His Royal Highness Olu Amos Omojagbara Aledare.
In a condolence statement issued on Tuesday, Senator Sunday Karimi described the late traditional ruler as a father, peace-builder, and custodian of the cultural heritage of the Bunu people.

He said the death of Oba Aledare has created a huge vacuum not only in Ike-Bunu but across the entire Kogi West, noting that the monarch lived a life of service, unity, and commitment to the development of his people.
“The news of the passing of HRH Olu Amos Omojagbara Aledare, the Olu of Ike-Bunu, came to me with great shock and sadness. Kabba-Bunu has lost a revered father whose reign was marked by wisdom, peace, and dedication to community development,” the Senator stated.
Senator Karimi commiserated with the people of Ike-Bunu, the Bunu Traditional Council, the Kabba-Bunu Local Government, and the immediate family of the late monarch.
He prayed that God Almighty would grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort the community during this period of mourning.
“I urge the people of Ike-Bunu to take solace in the good legacies left behind by our late royal father. He was a rallying point for unity and progress, and his counsel will be greatly missed,” he added.
The Senator also called on the people to remain peaceful and united as they mourn and prepare for the process of selecting a new traditional ruler.
HRH Olu Amos Omojagbara Aledare reigned as the Olu of Ike-Bunu until his demise. Details of burial arrangements are expected to be announced by the family and the traditional council in due course.
