Hon. Sanni Olajide has expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences to the people of Ike-Bunu following the death of their revered royal father, His Royal Highness, Olu Amos Omojagbara Aledare, the Oluke of Ike-Bunu.
The death of the highly respected traditional ruler has been described as a painful and significant loss to the people of Ike-Bunu, the traditional institution, the entire Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, and the wider Okunland community.
Hon. Sanni Olajide, while commiserating with the royal family, the traditional council, community leaders, sons and daughters of Ike-Bunu, and the entire people of the community, said the passing of the Oluke has created a deep void that will be difficult to fill.
He described the late monarch as a father to all, a custodian of the rich cultural heritage of his people, and a symbol of unity, peace, wisdom, and stability within his domain.
According to Hon. Sanni Olajide, the traditional institution remains an important pillar of society, and the loss of a monarch is not only a personal loss to the royal family but a collective loss to the entire community whose people looked up to him for guidance, wisdom, counsel, and leadership.
He said:
“I received with profound sadness the news of the passing of our revered royal father, His Royal Highness, Olu Amos Omojagbara Aledare, the Oluke of Ike-Bunu. This is indeed a painful moment for the people of Ike-Bunu, and I share in your grief at this difficult time.
“The passing of a father is always painful, but the passing of a revered monarch who served as a father to an entire community is an even greater loss. His Royal Highness was not only a traditional ruler; he was a father, a custodian of our heritage, a symbol of unity, and a respected voice in the affairs of his people.
“His departure has undoubtedly left a vacuum in the hearts of his family, the people of Ike-Bunu, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and interacting with him. We mourn with you, we stand with you, and we pray with you during this period of grief.
“On behalf of my family, friends, associates, and supporters, I extend my deepest and most sincere condolences to the immediate family of His Royal Highness, the royal household, the traditional council, community leaders, the people of Ike-Bunu, and all sons and daughters of the community at home and in the diaspora.
“I urge the people of Ike-Bunu to remain strong, united, and steadfast as you mourn the departure of your royal father. Though his physical presence will be greatly missed, the values he upheld, the wisdom he shared, and the legacy he left behind will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of his people.
“At this moment of grief, we must remember that death is an inevitable journey that awaits every mortal. We therefore submit to the will of Almighty God, who gives and takes life at His appointed time. May the Almighty grant us all the grace to accept His will and find comfort in the memories and legacy of our departed royal father.
“I pray that Almighty God will forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him eternal rest. May God grant the royal family the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss. May He comfort the people of Ike-Bunu and grant them the wisdom to navigate this difficult period with peace, unity, and understanding.
“May the Almighty also grant the traditional council and the entire people of Ike-Bunu the wisdom to preserve the unity and stability of the community as they mourn the passing of their revered monarch. May the legacy of peace, wisdom, and service associated with his reign continue to inspire future generations.
“To the royal family, I urge you to take solace in the fact that His Royal Highness lived a life of service to his people and left behind a legacy that will remain a source of pride and inspiration. Although words may not be enough to ease the pain of this loss, I pray that God will strengthen you and give you the fortitude to bear this great tragedy.
“May the soul of His Royal Highness, Olu Amos Omojagbara Aledare, the Oluke of Ike-Bunu, rest in perfect peace. May Almighty God grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus and make his final abode a place of eternal peace and mercy. May God forgive his sins, accept his righteous deeds, and illuminate his resting place.
“May the Almighty comfort his family, uphold the traditional institution, strengthen the people of Ike-Bunu, and grant the community peace and unity during this difficult period. May we never experience such a painful loss again.”
Hon. Sanni Olajide further called on the people of Ike-Bunu to honour the memory of their departed monarch by remaining united and committed to the peace, progress, and development of their community.
He noted that the best way to preserve the legacy of a departed traditional ruler is for the people to continue to uphold the values of unity, peaceful coexistence, respect for one another, and collective development.
He prayed that the Almighty God would grant the people of Ike-Bunu the strength to overcome the pain of their loss and give the royal family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
May the soul of His Royal Highness, Olu Amos Omojagbara Aledare, the Oluke of Ike-Bunu, rest in perfect peace. May Almighty God forgive his shortcomings, reward his good deeds, grant him eternal rest, and admit him into Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ameen.
May God comfort the royal family and the entire people of Ike-Bunu. May He preserve the traditional institution and grant the community peace, unity, wisdom, and continued progress. Ameen.
