Senator Karimi Pays thank you visit to Kabba-Bunu LGA, declares for Ododo/Joel
The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District and Senate Committee Chairman on Senate Services, Senator Sunday Karimi with his wife has paid a thank you visit to the Ward and Local Government Executives of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Kabba-Bunu local government area of the state.
In his address he pleaded with the people not to be annoyed that he has not been able to visit since after the election in February.
He said the visit became imperative considering their giant roles before, during and after the election, stressing that with their efforts he was able to become victorious at the poll.
The Lawmaker said despite the election was adjudged by majority of the election observers who worked during the election within Kogi West to be free, fair and credible, the opposition still find it necessary to challenge the outcome at the Election Tribunal not minding the huge cost of litigation but he thanked God that the erudite Justices ruled that the election was credible hence declared the election valid.
He assured the people of the local government that better days are ahead and promised to continue to work with all stakeholders to attract dividends of democracy to the entire district, pointing out that he will give adequate representation to all the local government areas under his jurisdiction.
He said the people should feel free to approach him on any issues especially as it relates to employment as the platform is already open for applicants from the local government to post their CVs as that will enable him to reach out to as many people as possible anytime the opportunity is available.
He said things will change very soon as the current administration under President Bola Tinubu is doing everything possible with the support of the National Assembly to turn things around positively for the benefit of Nigerians, saying with the next budget he would be able to facilitate projects that will be more beneficial to the people in the local government.
The Lawmaker emphasized the need for the people to support the Governorship Candidate of the party, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, as it makes a lot of sense for the people of Kogi West to deliver their votes en-masse for the APC come November 11 election.
He said Alhaji Ododo Usman remained the best candidate to continue the reins of governance in the state while urging the people not to engage in violence with anyone as the government will not tolerate violence before, during and after the election.
He appealed to them to move from house to house to continue to preach the message of Ododo/Joel to the nooks and crannies of the local governments, and assured them that Ododo will definitely perform well.
Earlier the Executive Chairman of Kabba-Bunu local government, Hon Moses Olorunleke while welcoming the Senator, commended the singular action of returning to appreciate the party executives both at the ward and local government level for the success of the February election.
He described the party Executives as dependable allies whom the senator continue to depend on any day, anytime, stressing that he should not forget them for their own share of the dividends of democracy as he progresses in the Senate.
He said with the achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello in the local government, APC will win by landslide in the November 11 election and appealed to Senator Karimi to always carry along the party Executives, and also to facilitate tangible projects to the local government.
