Kogi Guber: Ijumu APC endorses Alhaji Ododo Candidacy as Senator Karimi reassures constituency dividend of democracy

The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi has today met with the All Progressives Congress, APC family in Ijumu Local Government of the state as they officially endorsed and flagged–off the campaign programme of the party’s Governorship candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) and his Deputy, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu (JOS) ahead of the November 11th Gubernatorial election.
Senator Sunday Karimi and his prominent entourage were warmly received by Ijumu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Taofiq Isah, Ijumu APC Local Government Party Chairman, Hon Paul Afobaje among other several APC stalwarts.

The meeting that had in attendant Local Government Party Executives, Ward Executives, stakeholders, and top government functionaries was to intensify grassroots connections towards ensuring a landslide victory for Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman and his Deputy Comr Joel Oyibo Salifu in the next Governorship election.
Senator Karimi appreciated the party leadership for their impressive outing in the last general elections that led to the victory of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) at the state and federal levels just as he charged them to intensify more commitment to ensuring the seemless victory of APC candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman.
He assured the gathering that despite the litigation in the election tribunal against his election, he remain focused, promised to deliver the dividends of democracy in fulfilment of his campaign promises.
Sen. Karimi further appealed to the leadership of the party in Ijumu LGA to conscientize electorates in the next poll for the APC which he said has presented the most credible and sellable candidate.
While urging the party leaders to canvass beyond groups for APC, Hon Karimi said Alhaji Ododo has esteemed regards for all and sundry, adding that he will consolidate on the gains and achievements of the His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Earlier, the Chairman of Ijumu LGA, Hon Taofiq Isah appreciated Senator Karimi for exemplifying leadership at the upper chamber of National Assembly reiterating the party commitment to ensuring bloc votes for the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The only way to thank Governor Bello for always identifying and accommodating the good people of Ijumu Local Government over the years is to vote massively for Alhaji Ododo”, he added.
Also, the Local Government party Chairman, Hon. Paul said competence should be the only sentiment in considering any candidate for a reputable office of the executive governor of a state, just as he gave a high rating to the performance of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman in his previous state assignments.
He further appealed for all necessary support that will enable them to mobilize eligible voters ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
