Senator Omo- Agege & Ned Nwoko Are Noisemakers, Says Olorogun Okiemute Oviri Okwagbe (JP)

By Wilson Macaulay

The recent negative statements made by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Senator Ned Nwoko regarding the political landscape of Delta State ahead of the 2027 general elections have sparked strong reactions among political stakeholders. Their assertions that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has misgoverned Delta State for 25 years and that 2027 will mark the party’s downfall have been met with fierce rebuttal from Olorogun Okiemute Oviri Okwagbe (JP), the Eni of Ughwievwen and a respected PDP Chieftain from Ughelli South LGA.

In a strong response, Olorogun Okwagbe dismissed both Senators as mere noisemakers who have failed to justify their political careers with tangible achievements. The terse press statement described their rhetoric as political grandstanding aimed at misleading the people of Delta State.

Okwagbe the PDP stalwart further stated that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege had every opportunity to prove himself as a viable candidate, yet the 2023 Delta gubernatorial election was a defining moment of his failure, as Deltans overwhelmingly rejected him. Instead of learning from his watershed mistakes, he has now resorted to making baseless accusations against the well-led MORE Agenda administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

He emphasized that rather than relying on media propaganda, hypes and unrealistic claims, Omo-Agege should recognize that Deltans are politically aware and will not be deceived into joining the sinking ship of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Olorogun Okwagbe also criticized Senator Omo-Agege’s unrealistic promises and attention-seeking politics, describing them as a mere charade designed to mislead inexperienced politicians seeking stomach infrastructures.

Highlighting the PDP’s developmental strides in Delta State, he stressed that under the visionary leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the state has witnessed significant progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic policies. He affirmed that the PDP remains the only party that has genuinely delivered the dividends of democracy to the people of Delta State.

Turning to Senator Ned Nwoko, Olorogun Okwagbe dismissed his so-called list of four projects as another instance of political deception. He questioned why senator Ned Nwoko, who is still struggling to make an impact in Delta North, is now positioning himself as a champion of good governance despite his minimal contributions to his constituents.

“What exactly has Ned Nwoko accomplished since becoming senator? Has he addressed the pressing issues in his constituency? The answer is a resounding NO! Instead of focusing on his legislative responsibilities, he is more interested in making noise to maintain political relevance,” Okwagbe asserted.

He further pointed out that Nwoko’s attempt to discredit the PDP’s achievements in Delta State is laughable, considering the fact that the same party provided him the platform for his senatorial victory. “If the PDP was truly a failure, as he alleged, the question is did Senator Ned Nwoko run for Senate under the PDP banner? Why did he celebrate his victory on the platform of a party he now claims has misrule the state? This level of hypocrisy is unacceptable,” Okwagbe stated.

A Call On Deltans to Ignore Political Propaganda
Olorogun Okwagbe urged Deltans to remain steadfast in their support for the PDP and to disregard the false narratives being peddled by opposition figures. He noted that those now claiming they want to rescue the state had previously failed to deliver when given the opportunity.

“I assure Deltans that the PDP remains strong, united, and committed to driving further development. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is working tirelessly to consolidate the achievements of past administrations, and we will not allow political opportunists to distract the the laudable MORE AGENDA” he declared.

He called on PDP supporters across Delta State to stay vigilant and resist attempts by Omo-Agege and Nwoko to mislead the people because Omo-Agege have a sugar coated tongue that can meander the people to his doom boat .

In summation he warned:” They will come with their usual noise, false promises, and propaganda, but we must stay focused. The PDP has always been, and will continue to be, the best choice for Delta State,” he concluded.
