SENATOR SULAIMAN ABDULRAHMAN KAWU SUMAILA RENEWS PAYMENT OF ₦39,693,000 FOR STUDENTS UNDER HIS SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM IN KANO SOUTH SENATORIAL ZONE

In continuation of his unwavering commitment to education development, Distinguished Senator Sulaiman Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila, OFR, PhD, has once again demonstrated his dedication to supporting students in his Kano South Senatorial District. Senator Kawu Sumaila has paid a total sum of ₦39,693,000 as tuition fees for 101 students studying health-related courses, out of the 135 students he is sponsoring under his scholarship program.
The Senator is sponsoring 550 students across various fields of study in different institutions across Nigeria. In addition to the tuition payments, Senator Kawu Sumaila reiterated his pledge to provide each student with a monthly stipend of ₦10,000 to assist with their living expenses throughout their education.
The breakdown of the tuition fees paid by the Senator for the current academic year is as follows:
₦12,275,000 to DANSHARIFF College of Nursing Sciences, Kano.
₦9,584,000 to AMINU DABO College of Nursing Sciences, Kano.
₦5,394,000 to RAWAFID International College of Health Science and Technology, Dutse.
₦4,275,000 to PYRAMID College of Health Science and Technology, Kano.
₦4,405,000 to IQRA’A College of Nursing and Midwifery, Dutse.
A total of ₦39,693,000 has been released for this year’s scholarship program.
Furthermore, a few months ago, Senator Kawu Sumaila cleared an additional ₦9,236,000 in outstanding tuition fees for students at Jamilu Ibrahim Imperial College of Technology, Tudun Wada, reinforcing his long-standing commitment to educational advancement in Kano South.
Parents of the beneficiaries have expressed their profound gratitude, praising the Senator’s unparalleled efforts and describing him as the “father of their students.” Many of them remarked that they have never witnessed such a generous gesture in their Senatorial District.
Senator Kawu Sumaila, OFR, emphasized his continued dedication to addressing the shortage of healthcare professionals in Kano South and ensuring that students in the health sector receive the necessary support to succeed in their careers.
