Senator Sunday Karimi Donates N25m to 3 Kogi West Communities for Development Projects, Invests N150m in Edo Hospital Construction
The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Karimi, has made a significant contribution to the development of his constituency by donating N25 million to three community development projects in three Kogi West communities.
This gesture is part of Senator Karimi’s efforts to directly impact the lives of people living in Kogi West communities.
The N25 million donation will be utilized for the following projects:
– N10 million for the construction and rehabilitation of the Koton Karfi Central Mosque
– N10 million for the construction of the Abugi Central Mosque
– N5 million for the construction of the Ejuku new Police Station
This donation is in line with Senator Karimi’s commitment to supporting community development projects in Kogi West. Some of his notable projects include:
– Rehabilitation of the Lokoja women fish cold room at a cost of N11.5 million
– Construction of the Pakuta Bridge in Kiri, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, at a cost of N23 million
– N750 million for the construction and equipment of the forward operation base for the Nigerian Military at Egbe
In addition to these projects, Senator Karimi has also supported the provision of funds for various development projects in communities, including the ongoing construction of a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and e-learning center at Titcombe College Egbe, in collaboration with the Old Students Association.
The project is expected to cost about N350 million upon completion.
Furthermore, Senator Karimi has supported other projects through zonal intervention projects of federal government agencies.
This support includes the provision of water supply facilities to about 200 communities, provision of transformers, and solar street lights.
Notably, Senator Karimi is currently funding the construction of the Edo Community Hospital in the Kakanda district of Lokoja Local Government Area, with a total cost of N150 million.
The hospital will provide much-needed healthcare services to the people of Kogi West.
