Senator Sunday Karimi Facilitates Major Road Projects for Kogi West under the 2025 Appropriation Act

In a significant milestone for the people of Kogi West, Senator Sunday Karimi has successfully facilitated the inclusion of essential road projects in the 2025 Appropriation Act, aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing connectivity across the region. These projects, which are crucial for the socio-economic development of the area, are directly aligned with the Senator’s vision of better roads, improved transportation, and a brighter future for the people of Kogi West.

The projects, which have been earmarked for funding under the Appropriation Act, include:

1. Special Intervention Funding for Mopa-Isanlu-Egbe-Eruku Road, Kogi West Senatorial District – N2 Billion
Project Code: ERGP20260714

2. Special Intervention Fund for Mopa, Isanlu, Egbe, Eruku Road, Kogi State – N2 Billion
Project Code: ERGP20263166
The road between Mopa, Isanlu, Egbe, and Eruku is a vital route for residents and businesses. The intervention fund will ensure that this road, which connects key towns in Kogi West, is rehabilitated and maintained, improving access for all.

3. Rehabilitation of Ilorin-Omu Aran-Egbe-Kabba-Obajana Road – N6 Billion
Project Code: ERGP12231239
The rehabilitation of this major road corridor will ease transportation between Kogi State and neighboring areas, facilitating better trade and travel. This road is essential for the movement of goods, services, and people, and its rehabilitation will contribute significantly to regional integration and economic growth.

These road projects were approved in the 2025 Appropriation Act and can be found in the official document on pages 1170, 1171, and 1155. Senator Sunday Karimi’s tireless efforts in securing these critical interventions are a clear demonstration of his commitment to the welfare and development of Kogi West. He has consistently pushed for policies that directly benefit the people of his constituency, focusing on improving the quality of life through better infrastructure.

It is important to note that these projects are not just promises—they are concrete steps toward addressing the region’s infrastructural challenges. With less than two years until the completion of these projects, the tangible results are already on the horizon. The funds have already been secured, with #9.BN allocated for the execution of the works. The Senator’s efforts will bring about the much-needed transformation in Kogi West, which has long awaited such improvements.

Beyond the debates and distractions often seen on social media, the facts are clear: Senator Sunday Karimi is delivering for Kogi West. His work speaks for itself. The people of Kogi West are already feeling the positive impact of his leadership, and more improvements are expected in the coming years.

This is a turning point for Kogi West. With the rehabilitation of these key roads, we are confident that the region will experience accelerated development, increased economic opportunities, and improved living standards. Senator Sunday Karimi is indeed working hard for the people, and this is just the beginning.

We commend Senator Karimi for his unwavering dedication and call on all stakeholders to support the successful execution of these projects. Kogi West is on the rise, and the best is yet to come.
