SENATOR SUNDAY KARIMI, THE TRUE VOICE FOR THE PEOPLE OF KOGI WEST
The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District at the red chamber and Chairman, Senate Services, Sunday Steve Karimi has remained a strong and true voice of the people of the district ever since he assumed office in June 2023.

Additionally, Senator Karimi has facilitated the construction of 75 new solar-powered boreholes and the rehabilitation of 60 moribund water schemes across communities in Kogi West, valued at N1.24 billion.
This project aims to improve access to clean water and sanitation for the people of Kogi West.
Karimi has also facilitated the rehabilitation of Government Science Secondary School in Koton Karfe, Kogi Local Government Area worth over 1.2 billion naira, aside the construction of 1000 capacity seaters for the National Open University campus in Isanlu center, Yagba East Local Government.
Still in the education sector, the senator has also released the sum of 100 million naira to support students in tertiary institutions as scholarship, a scheme that will continue on yearly basis.
The market women folks are not left out, with the disbursement of 100 million naira to support their cooperative Societies that will enable them to access fund to improve their businesses for economic stability.
Senator Karimi, indeed is a fascinating figure, who have continued to be praised for his commitment to his constituents, particularly in Kogi West, where he’s invested heavily in empowerment programs and infrastructure development. For instance, he’s disbursed over N24 million to support local government electioneering campaigns across seven local government areas during the local government election in Kogi State.

– Establishment of Federal University of Medical and Sciences, Egbe, Kogi State bill 2024. This bill seeks to create a legal framework for the establishment of the Federal University of Medical and Sciences to leverage of the ECWA Nursing school in Egbe to unscaled the facility to tertiary medical institutions that will provide services for the environment.
