Senator Sunday Steve Karimi Commissions over 70 Newly Constructed Solar Powered Borehole in Kogi West
It was an eventful weekend for the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Sen. Sunday Steve Karimi as he commissioned over Seventy (70) solar powered boreholes across two federal constituency and four local governments respectively for the use of the people in the areas.
In his words, “To God be all the glory. As at today, we have at least Seventy (70) Solar Powered Boreholes constructed from the scratch across four Local Governments of Kogi, Lokoja, Ijumu and Kabba-Bunu respectively. Also, we have rehabilitated over fifty (50) Solar Powered Boreholes across Mopamuro, Yagba East and Yagba West local governments that are actively delivering clean, portable and drinkable water. This project will ensure that there is a steady supply of clean water to alley the challenges faced by our people and also reduce the cost of powering generators to pump water.This Project is in line with SDG 6 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals”
Senator Karimi urged the constituents to continue in their support for the APC led government as the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is turning around the bad state of the country for the betterment of all Nigerians with his initiatives and programmes. He pledged to continue delivering the dividends of democracy for the people as well as representing the voice of Kogi West people in the hallowed chamber of the national assembly.
Provision of clean, portable and drinkable water is a major concern of Sen Sunday Steve Karimi which he has always been delivering for his constituents, particularly, people in the grassroot who have over time struggled with water scarcity.
