Senator Victor Umeh’s goodwill message at the 7th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit held at Presidential Villa, Abuja

It is with great pleasure and a profound sense of duty that I welcome you all to the 7th Edition of the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit. This gathering has become a Beacon of Hope and Progress, a Testament to the unyielding spirit of our people, and a Celebration of the invaluable contributions of our Diaspora Community.
The theme for this year’s summit, “Adapting Stability through Diaspora Investment: Navigating the Path to Prosperity,” is both Timely and Significant. It underscores the crucial role of our Diaspora in Fostering Economic Stability and Driving Sustainable Growth in Nigeria.

Diaspora Investments are not merely Financial Contributions; they are Investments in our Future, our Stability, and our collective Prosperity. They represent the unwavering commitment of Nigerians abroad to the Development and Transformation of our Nation. As we navigate the complexities of global Economic Challenges, your investments provide a stable foundation upon which we can build Resilient and thriving Communities.

This Summit serves as a platform to Explore and Harness the vast Potential of Diaspora Investments. It is a Call to Action for us to adapt to changing Global Dynamics, leverage Innovative Solutions, and create Synergies that will propel Nigeria towards a Prosperous Future. We must continue to foster an enabling Environment that encourages and protects these Investments, ensuring that they translate into tangible benefits for all Nigerians.

To our esteemed Diaspora Community, your contributions extend beyond Monetary Investments. Your Knowledge, Skills, and Experiences are invaluable Assets that can drive Innovation, enhance Productivity, and stimulate Economic Growth. We are Committed to strengthening our Partnerships with you, recognizing that together, we can navigate the path to Prosperity.

As we engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and forge new alliances during this Summit, let us remain focused on our shared goal: A Stable, Prosperous, and Thriving Nigeria. Your presence here today is an expression of your Dedication and Belief in the potential of our great nation.

I wish to appreciate the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, HIS EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR for opening Nigeria to the World and striving to provide Platforms for Exchanges like this towards bringing Nigerians together to forge a prosperous future for all of us.

Finally, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to NIDCOM, ably led by Rt. Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, OON for organizing this Annual Summit for their tireless effort. Just last month between 8th and 12th of October 2024, She organized Canada-Nigeria Investment Summit in Toronto Canada.
Keep up the good works!
Through these Summits, we will Adapt, Thrive, and achieve the Prosperity we envision for our beloved Country.

I thank all the Participants for your unwavering Commitment to the Development of our Country Nigeria.

God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
Thank you, and I wish you all a successful and Fruitful Summit.
