Shaibu Umoru Eulogizes Kogi Deputy Governor Joel Oyibo at Grand Reception in Ejule

With the outpouring of glowing tributes and congratulatory messages from individuals, religious bodies, and political organizations that greeted the grand reception ceremony organized by the Ofu Local Government Area Traditional Council in honour of the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Saint Martins Primary school,Ejule, in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State, the Principal of Ejule Community Secondary School, Comrade Shaibu Umoru, has also extended his felicitations and tributes.

Addressing the media at the colourful ceremony, which attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, including Igala sons and daughters both at home and in the diaspora, Shaibu Umoru congratulated the second citizen of Kogi State, His Excellency Elder Joel Oyibo, and expressed delight over the grand reception organized in his honour by the Ofu Local Government Area Traditional Council.

He described the reception as well-deserved, considering the transformational strides recorded by the Ododo/Oyibo administration in less than three years in office.

According to him, the administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare and its prioritization of the education sector remain unwavering and commendable.

“Salaries are being paid promptly as and when due, while the government is also sponsoring WAEC and NECO examination fees for students in public schools across the state,” he stated.

Umoru further praised the Deputy Governor for his humility, comradeship, and humanitarian gestures towards people irrespective of religious or political affiliations, noting that such qualities have continued to promote peace and unity among the people.
