Stop Criticizing Tompolo For Selfish Reasons Says Captain Samuel Asedadu

By Wilson Macaulay

A prominent community leader from the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Captain Samuel Asedadu of Igoba Federated Community, has cautioned Nigerians against what he described as unwarranted and self-serving criticisms directed at High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpomupolo, popularly known as Tompolo. He decried the rising wave of attacks on the The Delta leader, attributing them to clannish interests and a prevailing “pull-him-down syndrome” among detractors.
Speaking during an interaction with selected journalists, Captain Asedadu emphasized that stakeholders in the Niger Delta should objectively assess performance, noting that the pipeline surveillance contract currently handled by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited had previously been awarded to others who failed to deliver comparable results. He maintained that the remarkable improvement in oil pipeline security under Tompolo’s watch is evidence of competence and commitment and patriotic service to our nation Nigeria.
Captain Samuel Asedadu The lgoba community elder expressed concern that despite these achievements, certain individuals continue to engage in what he termed “campaigns of calumny” against Tompolo. According to him, rather than resorting to baseless allegations and rumor-mongering, those with expectations should adopt a more constructive approach by making legitimate requests through appropriate channels.
Captain Asedadu further stressed the importance of respecting traditional and institutional leadership structures, pointing out that every community has recognized leaders who should be engaged accordingly. He noted that Tompolo did not single-handedly select himself for the contract, but rather earned it through capacity and credibility, urging critics to direct their concerns through proper leadership hierarchies.
He also called on the Federal Government to remain steadfast in its collaboration with Tompolo and his firm, while commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for awarding the pipeline surveillance contract to Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited. Congratulating Tompolo and his management team, Captain Asedadu lauded their proven pedigree, stating that their efforts have significantly contributed to boosting Nigeria’s national economy and safeguarding critical oil assets.
He pointed that with Tompolo on the Surveillance Work Nigeria will record more progress and abundant peace .
