Kabba/Bunu LGA Chairman Visits Owe Okemeta Council Of Chiefs, Seeks Support For President Tinubu, Gov Ododo For Second Term
The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael, on Tuesday, paid a courtesy visit to the Owe Okemeta Council of Chiefs, at the Idogba Royal family hall, Agonmo quarters Kabba, seeking support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term.
Speaking during the visit, Zacchaeus extended warm felicitations on behalf of the Local Government, describing the visit as not just a family meeting, but a symbolic celebration of unity, royal heritage, and enduring leadership.
The Chairman noted that the concerted efforts of Governor Ododo were responsible for the continued peace and security being enjoyed in the rural areas of Kabba/Bunu LGA.
He stressed that the Governor has invested hugely in the development of Oweland, his love and everyday funding of the Kogi State University, Kabba, Omigbo erosion control, primary healthcare centres, youth and women empowerment and political patronage is unprecedented.
Zacchaeus charged the council of chiefs on community policing, as a mechanism to curb the growing insecurity, using traditional rulers, area kings in maintaining peace and promoting unity across communities.
“The Council of Chiefs pledged their unalloyed support for Governor Ododo, who they described as a visionary leader with passion for growth and development”.
“Our communities are experiencing development because of the deliberate efforts of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and we must continue to thank him for that and reciprocate by ensuring we vote massively for the APC in the coming elections.”
High Chief Gboyegba Aka commended the chairman for what he described as the visible progress and development recorded by Kabba/Bunu LGA under his administration, assuring him of their support for President Bola Ahmed Usman and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term.
Zacchaeus urged the Council of Chiefs to support the government in maintaining law and order, especially by assisting the security agencies on information that might be helpful in curbing crime and banditry.
