SWS CONGRATULATES NIGERIANS ON DEMOCRACY DAY. CALLS FOR MORE ESTABLISHMENT OF GOVT. MARKETS TO CRASH PRICES OF COMMODITIES.

The Standup for Women Society celebrates an uninterrupted democratic system of government in Nigeria for over two decades

Adetona used the occasion to celebrate the President, Ahmed Tinubu for making sure he continued to do everything humanly possible to ensure a better democracy.

SWS President called on the President to further improve on his effort to make life better for the common man who has lost hope in Nigeria due to the present economic hardship.

She commended President Tinubu’s renewed hope support programs (palliative, grants, and loans) which she said have gone a long way to reduce the suffering the people and SME owners go through.

Barr. Deborah further advocates more women being appointed into key positions to justify the Beijing affirmation of 35% women in governance.

She prays as the nation marks Democracy Day, Nigeria our nation will continue to grow in peace, unity, and prosperity.”

“Today and always, we celebrate our democracy and the freedom it represents. Congratulations, Nigerians”
God will continue to guide our leaders right. She added.

Barr. Deborah Ijadele-Adetona suggests that to make the lives of the masses better, the Federal and state governments should take price commodity control policy beyond forcing the cost of goods and Services to reduce. She says the government should open up special commodity markets where the government will stock and sell all foodstuffs and other items at a cheaper rate compared to what is obtainable across the general markets in Nigeria.

She concluded by urging all leaders across the various political parties to join the president to build a wealthy and healthy nation where peace and unity will continue to reign.
