Teachers Laud Obaro for Supporting Loan Victims, Endorse Him for 2027
A group under the aegis of Auchi Loan Teachers Victims in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi has commended Hon. Emmanuel Obaro for his financial assistance toward their ongoing court case.
The group, in a letter of appreciation dated March 19 and made available to newsmen in Isanlu on Thursday, described Obaro, the lawmaker representing Yagba East Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, as compassionate and responsive to the plight of his constituents.
According to the letter signed by the Chairman of the Committee, Mr Fegbemi Femi Isaac, the lawmaker provided the sum of N2 million to support the payment of professional legal fees in their case against First Bank of Nigeria Plc.
The group said the gesture had rekindled their hope in the judicial process, noting that previous efforts to secure assistance from other political figures had proved unsuccessful.
“We made several efforts with some politicians in the past to help us liquidate our debts, but everything proved abortive. When we channelled our grievances to Hon. Emmanuel Obaro, he gave us a warm reception and accommodated our financial barrier without hesitation,” the letter stated.
The teachers described the lawmaker as “humane and compassionate,” adding that his intervention came at a critical time in their legal struggle.
They further announced their unanimous endorsement of Obaro for a second term in office, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“On behalf of Yagba East teachers of Auchi Loan Victims, we unanimously endorse you for the forthcoming 2027 general election for Yagba East Constituency House of Assembly.
“We are saying in one voice that there is no vacancy for any other person, except our pragmatic Hon. Emmanuel Obaro. At this juncture, we are showing our unwavering support and loyalty and pass our vote of confidence in you,” the group said.
