The Kabba/Bunu Local Government announces the demise of Obajemu Of Oweland, Oba Michael Ibinaiye, who died at 65.
Kabba – The Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area has been plunged into mourning following the sudden passing of His Royal Majesty Oba Michael Ibinaiye, the Obajemu of Oweland, at the age of 65.
The news was announced by the Executive Chairman of the local government, Hon. (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael, who described the death as “sudden and painful”.
In a statement, Chairman Michael extended his condolences to the immediate family of the late monarch, the Odolu ruling group, and the Obaro of Kabba, HRM Oba (Dr) Solomon Owoniyi.
He urged the family and the Kabba-Owe community to find solace in God’s word, which says there is a time to be born and a time to die, and prayed that they be granted the strength to bear their irreparable loss.
The Obajemu of Oweland, Oba Michael Ibinaiye, was a respected traditional ruler who played a significant role in promoting peace and unity in the Kabba/Bunu community.
According to a family source, the monarch will be buried in line with the customs and traditions of Oweland.
