Thousands Dump ADC, NNPP, PDP to Join Senator Garba Musa Maidoki’s Political Movement in Fakai.

By Bala Salihu Dawakin Kudu Democracy Newsline on 11th November 2025.

Fakai, Kebbi State – In what has been described as a major political realignment in Kebbi South Senatorial District, thousands of members from the ADC, NNPP, and PDP have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in support of the Distinguished Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, representing Kebbi South at the National Assembly.

The massive defection took place in Fakai Local Government Area, where the former members of the three political parties announced their decision to join the APC, citing the visible developmental strides of Senator Maidoki across their communities.

The decampees described Senator Maidoki as “a man who always puts the wishes of his people first,” and commended his numerous projects in the areas of education, healthcare, water supply, youth empowerment, and employment creation. They noted that his leadership style has transformed the lives of many in Fakai and beyond.

Speaking during the event, the Fakai Local Government Senator Garba Musa Maidoki Coordinator, Hajiya Lubabatu Yusif, praised the former members of ADC, NNPP, and PDP for their courage and faith in Senator Maidoki’s leadership. She assured the new entrants of equal treatment with existing APC members, emphasizing that the party under Senator Maidoki’s guidance is open, inclusive, and focused on people-centered development.

“What Senator Garba Musa Maidoki has done for the people of Fakai is beyond words,” Hajiya Lubabatu said. “It is not surprising to see thousands of people from different political backgrounds joining his political train. We will continue to stand by him as he works tirelessly for the progress of our communities.”

The leaders of the defunct party groups affirmed their commitment to support Senator Maidoki’s vision and pledged their full backing ahead of the 2027 elections, expressing confidence that the Senator will continue to deliver tangible projects that uplift their local government.

Representing Senator Garba Musa Maidoki at the event, his Senior Legislative Aide, Hon. Dantani Ango Yalo, received the decampees on behalf of the Senator. He commended Hajiya Lubabatu Yusif for her outstanding mobilization efforts and reaffirmed Senator Maidoki’s dedication to serving the people of Fakai.

“Senator Garba Musa Maidoki is a man of his word,” Hon. Dantani stated. “He has asked me to assure you that more development projects are on the way. He will continue to work closely with you to ensure that your communities benefit from the dividends of democracy.”

Hon. Dantani also praised the decampees from the 10 wards of Fakai Local Government, acknowledging their support and urging them to take the message of unity and progress back to their communities.

In a related development, Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, represented again by Hon. Dantani Ango Yalo, led a delegation of political aides to Benna and Wasagu communities to sympathize with residents following recent bandit attacks that led to the abduction of several people.

The delegation paid courtesy visits to the District Head of Benna and the Third Class Emir of Wasagu, where they were received by Sarkin Fada Wasagu. Hon. Dantani conveyed Senator Maidoki’s heartfelt sympathy and prayers for the safe return of those abducted.

“When Senator Garba Musa Maidoki heard about this tragic incident, he could not even sleep,” Hon. Dantani said. “He sent us ahead to assure you that he is doing everything possible to assist you and to seek divine intervention for the release of those taken.”

He further emphasized that the Senator remains deeply committed to the safety and welfare of his constituents, promising continued efforts to support the affected families through both humanitarian aid and spiritual support.

Those in the entourage included Alhaji Muhammad Altine Danda Wasagu, Lamido Maimartaba Sarkin Wasagu, and Alhaji Hafiz Muhammad Danda Wasagu, among other notable political aides and community leaders who joined in the solidarity visit.

With visible projects and growing grassroots support, the Distinguished Senator Garba Musa Maidoki continues to strengthen his political base, as residents of Fakai and surrounding communities rally behind him for sustained progress and unity in Kebbi South.
