Tinubu 2027: National Alliance for Women and Youth Seeks Collaboration with Bwari Area Council Chairman

The National Alliance for Women and Youth in Support of Good Governance has paid a familiarisation visit to the Chairman of Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, Hon. Joshua Ishaku Musa, as part of efforts to strengthen support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Leading the delegation, the President of the group, Ambassador Esther Elaigwu, said the visit was aimed at identifying with the leadership of the council and establishing a framework for collaboration and effective coordination ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Elaigwu, who was accompanied by members of the national leadership of the support group, noted that the timing of the visit was significant as preparations and campaigns for the elections would soon commence.
She explained that the delegation also used the opportunity to formally present the Bwari Area Council executives of the organisation to the council chairman, with a view to strengthening coordination and ensuring effective implementation of the group’s campaign activities in support of President Tinubu’s second-term bid.
Responding, the Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Hon. Joshua Ishaku Musa, appreciated the group for identifying with his administration and pledged his support for its mission.
Musa also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as his leadership, administrative sagacity and statesmanship in steering the affairs of the nation towards transformation and economic prosperity.
According to him, he has been an admirer of Tinubu’s political ideology even before the President assumed the nation’s highest office.
The council chairman also acknowledged what he described as massive infrastructural development in the Federal Capital Territory, as well as economic progress under the Tinubu administration.
Speaking on the achievements of his administration since assuming office, Musa said several initiatives had already been undertaken within a few weeks, attributing the progress partly to increased allocations arising from the economic policies of the Tinubu administration.
“We are currently constructing three roads. We have settled some salary arrears owed to local government staff. We have also provided fertilisers to our farmers to ease the hardship and improve crop yields, while some of our offices are undergoing renovation,” Musa said.
Also speaking, the Assistant Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Alliance for Women and Youth in Support of Good Governance, Emmanuel Ameh, canvassed support for the re-election of President Tinubu.
Ameh argued that Nigeria’s economy had recorded significant changes since Tinubu assumed office in 2023. He said the administration’s economic reforms, particularly the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of exchange rates, were bold measures that, in his assessment, had helped to reposition the country’s economy.
He maintained that the reforms were necessary to avert further economic difficulties and place the country on a sustainable path to recovery and growth.
Similarly, Amb. Lateef Kashimowo, while speaking on the achievements of the Renewed Hope administration, said President Tinubu’s economic reforms had helped stabilize the nation’s fluctuating economy and placed Nigeria on a path of growth.
The group reiterated its commitment to mobilizing women and young people across communities in support of the Tinubu administration and strengthening its grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 elections.
