In a heartwarming display of unity and appreciation, top chieftains of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), from Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State, led by the respected grassroots mobilizer, Alhaji Sani Mukaddas Barden Bichi, paid a thank-you visit to my residence in Abuja.
The delegation, made up of veteran political leaders and committed party stakeholders, expressed their profound gratitude to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the recent appointment of Hon. Abdullahi Magaji Lamba as a Board Member representing the Northwest Geopolitical Zone at the Federal University of Environment and Technology, Karoma/Saakpenwa, Ogoni, Rivers State.
In their remarks, the APC chieftains took turns to commend Mr. President for recognizing and rewarding loyalty, competence, and grassroots dedication. They emphasized that this appointment is a strong signal of inclusivity and a welcome recognition of the political strength and contributions of Kano North, particularly Bichi LGA, to the growth and stability of the party at the national level.
During the visit, the delegation also reflected on various interventions I have made in their area, as well as across Kano North and the broader Kano State. These include empowerment initiatives, youth development programs, educational support, and infrastructural facilitation. In response, they pledged their unwavering loyalty to the APC and reiterated their readiness to continue mobilizing support for the party’s developmental agenda.
Speaking during the meeting, Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, extended his gratitude to the delegation for their show of solidarity and patriotism. He assured them of the unwavering commitment of the APC leadership to the welfare of the people.
“We are in politics for one reason only – to uplift the standard of living of our people. That is our mission and mandate. Insha Allah, we will continue on this path of service, inclusion, and progress,” Senator Barau said.
The visit ended with prayers for continued peace, unity, and success for the APC-led administration under President Tinubu.
