Two Years Of Purposeful Leadership And Shared Commitment: Impact and Progress So Far.
My Dear People of Yagba Federal Constituency,
With a heart full of gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility, I extend my warmest greetings to every one of you across our beloved constituency. Today, we mark the second anniversary of my second term in the House of Representatives. I am immensely humbled by the honor of your mandate and the trust you placed in me to serve as your Representative. I do not take it for granted. You entrusted me with a great duty and together, we are delivering on the promise of quality representation.
In the past two years of my second term, we have taken bold steps to unlock the potential of our land and people. Our approach has been strategic, people-centered, and anchored on results as enunciated in “The People First Legacy.” Today, I am delighted to share with you the significant progress we have made across key areas to impact positively.
From my second term in office, we made it clear that agriculture would no longer be treated as a subsistence afterthought. Instead, we envisioned a bold new path—one where agriculture becomes the engine for inclusive growth, industrialization, and job creation. Today, I am pleased to say: that we have empowered thousands of farmers with seedlings comprising of cashew, coconut, palm trees, and fertilizers to support both small-scale and mechanized farmers in Yagba with training on the plantation process.
We began with the distribution of 50,000 palm trees and 40,000 cashew seedlings to farmers to increase the production of sprouted oil palm nuts—supporting farming communities across all 3 LGAs to improve commercial agriculture—improving nutrition, saving income, and building food resilience from the ground up.
We are also in the process of scaling up our collaboration to provide a #100M loan to farmers through farmer cooperative society—while creating opportunities for farmers to increase their productivity. We did not stop at agriculture. We invested in roads, water, and support for businesses: Igbagun- Isanlu Ijowa road with 57.2km climate-resilient road, Isanlu Townhall township road, Kajola-Obada market road Isanlu, Itedo Irunda spur Ilorin/Kabba Road, Egbe-Okunran-Isanlu Esa will receive attention too with other new road constructions that will start as soon as possible, especially in Ogbom-Ogga-Omi-Odo Ara-Igbaruku-Odoere, Oke-Ere-Akata-Odoere ,Okeagi-Imela road and Efo through Takete road.To further transform community access to services.
LAF Cooperative Thrift and Credit Union Limited is focused on women’s empowerment and advancement. We supported women with micro and macro businesses through interest-free loan access with #100M in credit, 34 Cooperative societies were formed across the 3 LGAs with at least 100 women in each society that have benefited through the interest-free loan to add value to their businesses. This has enabled women- and youth-led enterprises to scale operations, and increase profitability. Today local vendors, artisans, and creatives are finding opportunities where there was once silence.
Our constituency program added the final building blocks of value addition. We constructed an agro-processing training center and built six blocks of classrooms in some selected public schools including GSS Isanlu.
My dear people, the message is clear: we have supported agriculture, and micro and macro businesses to grow. We are empowering more farmers, building more roads, and placing more food on the table of every household. This is not just growth—it is growth with dignity, opportunity, and purpose.
Our journey is far from over. The seeds we have planted will continue to yield harvests of hope. Together, we will build a future where no youth is idle, no woman is left behind, and no community is trapped in poverty. With your continued support, Yagba will stand on the pedestal of growth and development.
We are making remarkable strides in education—an area that is not only the soul of the future of our children but now, a growing engine of jobs and business for our people.
We have reactivated dormant access to textbooks for learning in public schools and the payment of National Examination Council NECO for all students away from the yearly Waec payment with continued payment for private schools across Yagba and Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency. Today, students no longer drop out due to the inability to pay for their WAEC and NECO.
In just two years of my second term in office our shared journey toward a prosperous, healthy, and well-educated society. We have begun to see the fruits of our resolve in the education sector. We have continued to build on the solid foundation of our first term in office and have transformed education into a powerful tool for opportunity and progress.
We have removed the barriers of traveling to neighboring constituencies and states for the Jamb examination by building a 300-capacity CBT center well-equipped for students and covering Jamb payment for some indigenes. We are not just easing burdens; we are not igniting dreams.
We have facilitated federal government jobs for youths and more opportunities will come in no distant time.
We have held medical outreach to safeguard the health of our children between the ages of 0-5 years through a deworming process.
Under the medical program pregnant women, women, children, and the aged received free healthcare services. Our commitment to primary healthcare is evident across the Yagba Federal Constituency with enhanced immunization.
We launched a door-to-door food palliative distribution where all constituents benefitted from the distribution of food items and relief materials, we also continued the distribution of food items to all widows across Yagba, a foundational project that reaches all widows across the constituency.
My promise remains firm: under my transformative leadership in the last two years through the rural electrification agency and ministry of power, electricity has been restored, solar-powered streetlights have been installed, new transformers have stabilized supply and 10 additional motorized boreholes were drilled.
In the last two years, we have transformed infrastructure into a catalyst for prosperity, accompanied by several empowerments to artisans, youths, men, and women.
Representation for us is not just to speak for the people, it is about building hope, improving lives, and giving a fair chance to the people of Yagba through encompassing representation. Let me assure you: that I will not relent. Together we will build a constituency that is stronger and progressive for all.
When the journey of the second term began two years ago, a bold promise was made to place governance at the heart of the people through adequate representation.
Indeed, the legislative process of bringing a Federal Medical Center to Yagba is in progress through a Bill that has passed through the second reading.
The scope of representation has been expanded with a bold voice that supports reforms for Nigeria’s economic growth.
The foundation of transparent, responsive, and effective public service that truly works has been laid through quality representation.
Today, I see myself not just as a representative but as a fellow citizen, called to serve the interest of Yagba through adequate representation that has brought a structured, compassionate system that places human dignity at the heart of every intervention.
We have brought social services closer to the people- women, children, the aged, and the vulnerable are no longer on the margins.
We have brought relief to widows and resilience among them. From policy to practice, from words to action. Building a society where empowerment and prosperity are not privileges but rights.
Our commitment to security is unwavering. Supporting security agencies, community vigilantes, and youth groups- we are not only building physical structures- we are building trust.
In our second term and second year in office, we have recorded progress that speaks for itself. This is what happens when leadership and representation align. The works speak for themselves and give the people civic pride.
We have laid a solid foundation for a more prosperous, united, and resilient Yagba.
These achievements are not ours alone they are for the people. They indicate the results of our belief, noble representation, and partnership. We can not solve every problem, but we have built a clear roadmap for growth and inclusiveness. Moving from implementation to proof.
The next years hold even greater promise, to consolidate our gains, drive massive development, and scale up representation. The future is bright and wholesome, we will shine together.
I thank you, my dear people, for your continued support, prayers, and sacrifice. Let us remain united, optimistic, and steadfast. This journey is ours. The glory is God’s and the victory will be ours.
God bless you all.
