The Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government and Kogi State ALGON Chairman, Hon. Taufiq Isa joined the Baalo of Oyo-Iwaa,HRH. Oba Solomon Obahawu and the people of Oyo-Iwaa community in Lokoja Local Government to celebrate the third class traditional status bestowed on them by the Government of Kogi State.
The Olu of Oyo-Iwaa, Appreciates the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello for finding his community worthy of this status after years of existence and neglect by past administration. He commended the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government for prioritizing issues that affect the community despite he is not from here.
The community CAN Chairman extolled the leadership of the Executive Chairman for facilitating what they though is not possible, noting that four years ago, he stormed the community to with mega empowerment to widows, youths and women.
The Council Secretary of Oyo-Iwaa community extend his heart of appreciation to Governor Yahaya Bello and Hon. Taufiq Isa for bringing government closer to the community, assured them of voting Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo as the next Governor of Kogi State, Knowing fully well that he will consolidates on the achievements made in terms of upgrading traditional rulers.
The tribal head of Tiv, Bassa, Hausa,Ebira and Oworo who spoke on behalf of their people, heartily thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for putting traditional rulers to the rightly place they belong while congratulating the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Hon. Taufiq for the opportunity God gave to him to break records in the community.
It was an event full of songs,dance and merriment.
