Re: *Urgent: Unfair Treatment of Newly Admitted Students at Kwara State University*

I am writing to bring to your attention a pressing matter affecting the newly admitted students of Kwara State University (KWASU). As a concerned citizen and advocate for the rights of students, I am compelled to report the university’s sudden and unjust closure of its portal, effectively denying students access to essential services.

Recently, KWASU admitted new students to pursue first-degree programs and subsequently requested that they pay acceptance fees. However, in a shocking departure from their usual practice, the university abruptly closed its portal, preventing students from accessing vital information and services. This closure occurred before the scheduled matriculation ceremony, which is typically the deadline for payment of school fees.

This unexpected development has caused undue hardship and anxiety for the affected students, who are now uncertain about their academic future. As a result, I respectfully request that your office intervenes in this matter to ensure that KWASU reopens its portal and allows students to access essential services.

I kindly request that you take the following actions:

1. Direct KWASU to immediately reopen its portal and restore access to students.
2. Investigate the circumstances surrounding the sudden closure of the portal and ensure that such actions are not repeated in the future.
3. Provide clear guidance to KWASU on the importance of maintaining transparent and student-friendly policies.

I believe that your prompt attention to this matter will help alleviate the suffering of the affected students and uphold the principles of fairness and justice in our educational institutions.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter.

Sincerely,
Signed.
Kwara State’s Concerned Parents.
