Yagba Backs Tinubu, Karimi At Kogi West Town Hall

By Temiloluwa Samuel

Stakeholders from Yagba Federal Constituency on Sunday expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Senator representing Kogi West, Sunday Steve Karimi, at a town hall meeting held in Isanlu, Kogi State.
‎
‎The meeting, which took place at GYB Hall, in Isanlu, Yagba East local government headquarters, attracted political leaders, local government chairmen, serving and former lawmakers, traditional rulers, youth and women groups, as well as representatives of persons with disabilities.
‎
‎The event, themed “Continuity for Sustainable Development in Kogi West Senatorial District,” provided an opportunity for Senator Karimi to present an account of his stewardship and interact with constituents on issues affecting the district.
‎
‎Addressing participants, Karimi thanked the people for their support and pledged to sustain what he described as quality representation through the execution of projects and programmes across Kogi West.
‎‎According to him, interventions in infrastructure, education, youth empowerment and community development have been undertaken in different parts of the senatorial district, while additional projects are being planned.
‎
‎He said sustained cooperation between elected representatives and the people would accelerate development and ensure greater federal presence in the district.
‎
‎”Continuity in leadership will guarantee the completion of ongoing projects and attract more federal presence to Kogi West,” the senator said, while urging constituents to continue supporting the administration of President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
‎
‎Earlier, Senator Karimi paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Yagba East Traditional Council, Oba Moses Babatunde Etombi, where he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting traditional institutions, describing them as critical partners in maintaining peace, security and cultural heritage.
‎
‎The monarch commended the senator’s representation, encouraged him to sustain his developmental efforts and offered prayers for his political aspirations.
‎
‎During the interactive session, participants commended the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and acknowledged projects and empowerment initiatives facilitated by Senator Karimi in communities across Kogi West.
‎
‎Several speakers, including local government chairmen, lawmakers, youth and women leaders, described the senator as accessible and responsive to the needs of his constituents, citing ongoing infrastructure projects and empowerment programmes as evidence of his representation.
‎
‎Stakeholders also called for greater unity within the APC, saying cohesion among party members would strengthen its electoral prospects in future political contests.
‎
‎The meeting concluded with participants expressing continued support for President Tinubu and Senator Karimi, while reaffirming their commitment to the APC and its development agenda for Kogi West.
