The Chairmanship Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the forthcoming Federal Capital Territory Area Council elections, Honourable Robert Madaki, has pledged to prioritise the provision of infrastructure to rural communities within the council if elected.
Hon. Madaki said his administration would address the noticeable infrastructural deficits in several communities across AMAC, noting that improving basic amenities would give rural areas a facelift and foster a stronger sense of belonging among residents.
The YPP Chairmanship Candidate made this known on Sunday, February 1, 2026, on the sidelines of the 7th Qur’an Graduation Ceremony of Takreem Islamiya, held in Gwagwa Ward, Abuja Municipal Area Council.
He commended the Proprietor of Takreem Islamiya, Mallam Hamisu Gambo, for his unwavering commitment to imparting Islamic religious knowledge and moral values to children, whom he described as future leaders.
Also speaking at the event, the AMAC Chairman of the Young Progressives Party, Ibrahim Abdullahi, stated that the YPP provides Nigerian youths with a credible platform to take over the leadership of the country through a manifesto that aligns with the yearnings and aspirations of young people.
He called on residents of the Abuja Municipal Area Council to support the aspiration of Hon. Robert Madaki, describing him as a candidate committed to responsive and people-centred governance.
