2027: Tinubu, Ododo’s Re-Elections Are Easiest to Achieve — Fashagba

…Commends Omodara for Bringing Democracy Dividends to Kabba/Bunu

By Our Correspondent

The Provost of Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba, has commended the Kogi State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd.), for bringing what he described as the dividends of democracy to the grassroots, particularly the people of Olle/Oke Offin Ward in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.

Fashagba, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the commendation during a decamping ceremony and mega empowerment programme organised by Commander Omodara in Oke Offin, Olle/Oke Offin Ward, Kabba/Bunu LGA, Kogi State.

He described the empowerment initiative as an example of grassroots-oriented leadership, stressing that governance becomes more meaningful when its impact is felt directly by the people.

According to him, the initiative demonstrated that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is committed to bringing government closer to the people.

“This is one of the very best ways to touch the people at the grassroots. He has demonstrated the very fact that governance must be very close to the grassroots.

“What Commander Jerry Omodara has just done is a way of adding value to the current government. He has displayed the very fact that His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s government is the government of the people,” Fashagba stated.

The APC chieftain further praised Omodara for his intervention in the community, saying the initiative had strengthened the party’s presence at the grassroots.

“I commend him, I respect him and by this, I think APC owns this ward and this community,” he said.

Fashagba also welcomed the decampees into the APC, saying their decision to join the ruling party demonstrated their confidence in its leadership.

He expressed optimism about the 2027 elections, asserting that the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo would be easily achievable, while urging party members and supporters to sustain their mobilisation at the grassroots.

The empowerment programme, which attracted party supporters, community members and new entrants into the APC, was also used to strengthen political engagement and support for the party across Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.
