Briefing newsmen in Abakaliki, the President General further commended President Bola Tinubu for the appointment of former Governor of the State, Senator Dave Umahi as his Minister of Works.

He noted that Umahi is a worthy ambassador of the state, whose achievements have remained campaign booster for the second term bid of President Tinubu in 2027.

Offia assured that the people of old Ezzagu zone would galvanise supports for any political directions of the Minister, especially as he takes prominent lead to advancing the fortunes of the APC in the South East zone.

“It is with great delight that the people of old Ezzagu zone wish to commend our trailblazer and Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi for the good work he is doing for the federal government. We are proud of him and we want to declare our total preparedness to support all his political directions in the 2027 general elections”.

“As a worthy ambassador of Ebonyi state, Umahi has not only replicated his numerous infrastructural strides when he was the Governor of our dear state, but he has also made remarkable imprints in the Renewed Hope agenda of the Federal Government”.

“We therefore commend President Bola Tinubu for finding him worthy for the appointment as his Minister of Works. This appointment has rekindled the oneness and unity of this country”.

“We will continue to applaud Umahi for the construction of Eguho bridge which had hitherto remained a dead trap of schoolchildren and motorists in Ebonyi state. Eguho bridge remains an indelible legacy which Umahi will ever be remembered for”, Offia said.

He disclosed that Ezzagu zone has designated December 26 to honour the Works Minister in his Uburu country home of Ebonyi state.

The President General further commended the former governor for the harmonious relationship with his successor, Chief Francis Nwifuru, which has been attributed to the peace and development in the state.
