80s Connect Club, Kabba Mourns Passing of Oba Michael Ibinaiye, Obajemu of Oweland
The 80s Connect Club, Kabba, has expressed its deep sorrow and condolences to the family, Obaro of Kabba, and the Owe community following the passing of Oba Michael Ibinaiye, the Obajemu of Oweland whose death occurred two days ago at the age of 65.
In a statement signed by the President of the club, Deacon Segun Akerele, the organization mourns the loss of the traditional leader, describing him as a humble and gentle leader who will be greatly missed.
The statement read, “We are saddened to hear about the demise of Oba Michael Ibinaiye, the Obajemu of Oweland. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, Obaro of Kabba and Chairmqn, Okun Area Traditional Council, HRM, Oba Solomon Owoniyi and the entire Owe community. May his soul rest in peace.”
He said that the Obajemu of Oweland, Oba Michael Ibinaiye, was a respected figure in the community, known for his wisdom, traditional knowledge, and style of conflict resolution, stressing that his passing has left a void in the hearts of many, and his legacy will continue to be remembered.
The club’s President, Deacon Segun Akerele, urged members to pray for the repose of the monarch’s soul and to support his family during this difficult time. The organization also prayed that God will grant the Owe community the strength and resilience to overcome this loss.
The monarch has since been buried in line with the customs and traditions of Oweland
